This B-Tg(Luc) A549 cell line expresses firefly luciferase as a marker of A549 cells. Fluorescence could be detected in B-Tg(Luc) A549 cells.
 

Gene targeting strategy for B-Tg(Luc) A549 cells. The exogenous promoter and luciferase coding sequence were inserted into the mouse genome randomly.

B-Tg(Luc) A549 cells (1x10⁶, 5x10⁶ ,1x10⁷) were injected into the tail vein of wild-type B-NDG mice. Signal intensity and body weight were measured twice a week. (A) Imaging was performed twice a week. (B) Body weight (Mean ± SEM). B-Tg(Luc) A549 cells can be used for in vivo efficacy evalsuation.

Tumor metastasis occurred in the liver of mice.
